Meet Our Executive Team
Kendall Skalicky, President
Kendall is the President of AWSM at Penn State. She is a senior majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in Sports Studies. As a member of the Penn State community, Kendall is a Student Talent for Penn State Athletics and GoPSUSports, the Producer and Host of ‘Gloves Off,’ a podcast that highlights players of the PSU Men’s Hockey team, and a broadcast intern for Teammates for Life. Kendall also worked with the Philadelphia Flyers as a media intern this past summer, conducting ringside interviews.
Alli Fritz, Vice President
Alli Fritz is a senior Public Relations major with minors in Sports Studies and Recreation, Park and Tourism Management and certificates in Sports Journalism and Diversity Studies. She is involved with Penn State Athletics as a Student Sports Information Director for Penn State Swimming & Diving and recently completed a Social Media internship with Little League International. Outside of sports, Alli loves music, the beach, and window shopping with friends.
Amanda Vogt, Secretary
Amanda Vogt is Secretary of AWSM at Penn State. She is a junior majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in Sports Studies and Digital Media, Trends and Analytics. Amanda covers Penn State football as an insider for Comm Radio and men’s basketball as a beat reporter with Penn State Sports Night. She has a golf obsession which led her to Pinehurst over the summer where she interned with the Carolinas Golf Association. Amanda’s passion for sports storytelling also brought her to Williamsport for the Little League World Series and to Paris for the 2024 Paralympics which she covered for the Associated Press.
Lauren Harth, Treasurer
Lauren is the treasurer of AWSM at Penn State. She is a sophomore majoring in Broadcast Journalism with minors in Digital Media Trends and Analytics and Sports Studies. Also, she is a member of the Schreyer Honors College. At Penn State, she is an active member of Penn State Sports Night and has a talk show with CommRadio. She also serves as a Recruiting Events and Operations intern with Penn State Football. Outside of communications, Lauren is a THON volunteer serving on a public relations and brand development committee. Her dream job is to be a sideline reporter in the NFL and is excited by all the opportunities available to her at Penn State to expand her knowledge of the sports industry.
Jenna Wissman, Social Media Director
Jenna is the Social Media Director of AWSM at Penn State. She is a sophomore majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in sports studies. Jenna is involved with PSNTV’s Penn State Sports Night, 360 Sports and Penn State Network News. On Friday’s you can catch her on After The Whistle, a weekly high school football live show. Additionally, Jenna interns with Happy Valley United & Teammates for Life and is a talk show host on Gridiron Girls on Comm Radio.
Jezenia Marrero, Director of Events
Jezenia is the director of events for AWSM at Penn State, where she thrives on bringing people together. Her passion for event management is fueled by her work toward a Meeting and Event Management Certificate from Penn State's School of Hospitality Management. In addition to her role with AWSM, Jezenia shines as an on-air talent for State Media, where she has had the exciting opportunity to interview prominent Penn State athletes. She also contributes to several shows across the Penn State TV Network.Looking ahead, Jezenia aims to pursue a career in sports broadcasting. When she’s not talking about sports, you can find her exploring nature (if it's not too cold), working out, or listening to a podcast!
McKenna Kerr, Director of Membership
Mckenna is the Director of Membership of AWSM at Penn State. She is a senior majoring in Broadcast Journalism with a Sports Studies minor. Mckenna is a host on the talk show “Gridiron Girls” that takes place weekly on Commradio where they cover NFL and college football. Over the summer, Mckenna spent her time interning in the front office of the Philadelphia Phillies.
