Meet Our Executive Team
Jenna Wissman, President
Jenna is the President of AWSM at Penn State and a senior majoring in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Sports Studies. She is also on track to earn a certificate in Sports Journalism through the John Curley Center. Jenna serves as a sideline reporter for Big Ten Plus and the Penn State Football Pregame Show presented by Modelo. She can also be seen on Penn State Sports Night and Penn State Network News. In addition, she co-hosts Gridiron Girls, an all-female NFL talk show on CommRadio, and works as a communications intern with Penn State Teammates For Life. This past summer, Jenna lived in New York City while interning with Playfly Sports as a Public Relations and Social Media Intern. She also worked on projects focused on the evolving college athletics and NIL landscape.
Lindsay Luczak, Vice President
Lindsay is the Vice President of AWSM at Penn State. She is a senior majoring in Public Relations with minors in Digital Media Trends and Analytics and Sports Studies. Lindsay currently serves as a Social Media Intern for Penn State Football and Penn State Athletics, gaining hands-on experience in social media strategy. She spent this past summer interning with Athletes First, a premier NFL agency in New York City, where she gained experience across various areas of the sports and talent industry. Lindsay hopes to build a career in the sports industry, with a focus on digital media, marketing, or agency work.
Emily Supplee, Secretary
Emily is the Secretary of AWSM at Penn State. She is a junior majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in Sports Studies and Digital Media Trends and Analytics. Emily is a part of PSNTV’s 360 Sports and Penn State Network News where she covers a variety of different sports including hockey, football and baseball. On Friday nights you can catch her covering high school football games for After the Whistle. Last year she was a Penn State Football video board intern and currently works part-time for Penn State Athletics live video. Outside of sports, Emily is a member of Thon’s 46Live social media team where she covers different parts of the 46-hour dance marathon. Last summer, Emily served as a game day intern for the Lancaster Stormers.
Isabella Marini, Treasurer
Isabella is the Treasurer of AWSM at Penn State. She is a Public Relations student minoring in Sports Studies and Digital Media Trends & Analytics. Isabella currently serves as a Marketing intern for the Penn State Quarterback Club and a Social Media & Creative Content Intern for the Penn State Lady Lion Cager Club, where she creates content surrounding Penn State football and women’s basketball. She is also the founder and host of a sports podcast that gives athletes a platform to share their stories both on and off the field. Her passion for sports media has allowed her to gain experience across social media, content creation, photography, and live sports production.
Kassie Vasellas, Director of Alumni Relations
Kassie is the Director of Alumni Relations for AWSM at Penn State. She is a senior majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in Sports Studies. Kassie is one of the Managing Editors of After the Whistle and is the men’s hockey beat reporter for Penn State Sports Night. She does creative video for Penn State Athletics where she will be doing football this year. Kassie also does live video production for athletics and is involved in Penn State Network News and 46Live. This past summer, Kassie made video content for The Associated Press during the World Cup and was in the Little League Residency Program.
Emily Carter, Social Media Director
Emily Carter is one of the Directors of Social Media for AWSM at Penn State. She is a sophomore majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in Digital Media Trends and Analytics, Sports Studies, and Spanish. Emily is also an executive producer for Penn State Sports Night, a Comm Radio Insider, a media specialist with Penn State Athletics, and a host of the Level the Field Podcast. This past summer, she served as a creative services intern with Duke Athletics and spent time in Boston working with Fanatics as a member of their Fan Advisory Network. Emily is driven by a passion for storytelling and the power of sports to unite people and impact communities. When she’s not creating, you can probably find her talking about basketball!
Skye Arcia, Director of Social Media
Skye is one of the Directors of Social Media for AWSM at Penn State. She is a junior majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Journalism. She currently works for Ballou Sports and Entertainment as a marketing executive focusing on product development with athletes. She interned this summer for the Tampa Bay Rays as a social media intern. She has been a part of AWSM since her freshman year and can't wait for everything this year has in store.
Kennedy Rivers, Director of Membership
Kennedy Rivers is the Director of Membership at Penn State. She is a junior majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in Sports Studies. Her favorite sport to cover is football and she aspires to be a NFL sideline reporter. She is involved with After the Whistle, NABJ and THON. Over the summer, she interned at NBC Sports where she got to strengthen her storytelling skills. As for this school year she is interning with ROAR+ where she can continue her passion for storytelling!
Harlyn Peña, Director of Events
Harlyn is the Director of Events for AWSM at Penn State. She is a junior majoring in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Sports Studies. Harlyn also serves as the Vice President of PSNTV. Harlyn is a Game Day Operations intern with Playfly Sports and a social media intern with State Media. Harlyn hopes to pursue a career in fan experience and game-day operations, creating memorable experiences that connect fans with the teams they love.
